Everything in life is better with a frill - and this one-off jumbo cookie jar takes it to the next level.
 
Standing 26cm tall (18cm without the lid) and 22cm wide, it’s a whopper. Perfect for storing cookies, sweets, coffee pods - or anything else you fancy. (Bonus: the base also makes an excellent vase when you’re not using it for storage.)
 
This is the only jar I’ve made - or plan to make for some time as it was quite the challenge - in this size and style. It features three rows of frills, and just in case that wasn’t enough, the lid has an extra frill and a statement handle. Yes, it’s a statement piece. Yes, it’s extra. Yes, it’s fully functional and just crying out to be used. I’m incredibly proud of it.
 
Maker’s note: While the base and lid were made for each other - and the lid includes an inner lip to help it stay in place - this is a handmade piece. That means it’s not airtight, and you may notice slight gapping between the lid and base. I think that adds to the charm and character of my pottery, but I want to be upfront in case you’re expecting a snug fit.

Caring for your pottery:
Marigold and Lettice pottery is made from white earthenware clay and designed to be used and enjoyed every day. We personally use our pieces in the oven, dishwasher, and microwave. However, to prolong the life of your pottery, handwashing is the gentler choice, as dishwashers can be tough on handmade items due to high-pressure jets and strong detergents and may overtime cause damage and speed up any grazing in the glaze. 
While we do microwave our own pieces, for longevity we suggest heating food in the oven where possible.

Our china looks and feels very (very) different to mass-produced pottery; it’s not fine or delicate, but wonderfully chunky and full of texture, you’ll see thumb prints, makers marks, glaze specks/drips and heaps of individuality. We call it perfectly imperfect pottery and firmly believe it’s all the better for it!
