I cannot tell you how much I love this swallow design, and I have no explanation as why I’m yet to add it as an option to pre-order it on the website – time, or the lack of it, is the only excuse I have! I swear it is coming in the new year.
 
In the meantime, I am delighted to offer this big beauty: extra-large in size as it stands at 22cm tall and is around 17cm across.  It has different sized swallows flying across and around the vase which all add to the character and texture of the piece.
 
Now it has been discounted ever so slightly as there is one bird where the join between the swallow and vase is the tiniest bit gappy – this isn’t a fault, just what happens with hand-made pottery, and it certainly doesn’t impact the look, feel or use of the vase, but the price reflects this minor makers-mark.

Marigold and Lettice vases are unapologetically different. Each are made by hand (no moulds or casts are used) so each will have their own shape and lines.  Because of this expect them to be slightly sloped and not symmetrical. They certainly aren’t mainstream or mass market, but it will be unique to you and packed with character and texture.

Our china looks and feels very (very) different to mass-produced pottery; it’s not fine or delicate, but wonderfully chunky and full of texture, you’ll see thumb prints, makers marks, glaze specks/drips and heaps of individuality. We call it perfectly imperfect pottery and firmly believe it’s all the better for it!
 
Marigold and Lettice pottery is (hand)made to be loved and used, and happily goes in the oven, dishwasher and microwave.
