This large bowl, which has scattered chunky bobbles all over it, makes the most perfectly imperfect serving bowl for all your needs and occasions from simple suppers to a full-on party; overflowing with nibbles, olives, crisps or roasties; or what about using it for salads or as a fruit bowl? The choice is yours!
Size wise it's around 24cm wide, 11cm tall.
WHAT MAKES IT A SECOND...
If I'm honest, this isn't a second, it's just a flipping annoying that a tiny bit of colour from another piece got caught in the glaze and got transferred onto the bowl in the kiln. I know I say to expect makers marks and some specks in the glaze finish, but this is just a bit more than that, so into the second sale it has gone.
Check out the pictures, where you'll see this errant colour speck in one side... purely cosmetic, highly annoying, and discounted by 10% because of it!
Caring for your pottery:
Marigold and Lettice pottery is made from white earthenware clay and designed to be used and enjoyed every day. We personally use our pieces in the oven, dishwasher, and microwave. However, to prolong the life of your pottery, handwashing is the gentler choice, as dishwashers can be tough on handmade items due to high-pressure jets and strong detergents and may overtime cause damage and speed up any grazing in the glaze.
While we do microwave our own pieces, for longevity we suggest heating food in the oven where possible.
I M P O R T A N T I N F O R M A T I O N
Our china looks and feels very (very) different to mass-produced pottery; it’s not fine or delicate, but wonderfully chunky and full of texture, you’ll see thumb prints, makers marks, glaze specks/drips and heaps of individuality. We call it perfectly imperfect pottery and firmly believe it’s all the better for it!
