Christmas platters are the perfect choice for serving up mince pies, canapés, or even the main event—whether that's turkey, a nut roast, or your holiday favourite, and this large, oval snowflake one is a festive statement piece if ever there was one! 
 
Each 3D snowflake has its own character and size, and while they might look delicately frosted, the platter (which is around 35cm long, 27cm wide and 3cm tall) is deliciously chunky, reassuringly robust, and made to be treasured year after year.
 
WHAT MAKES IT A SECOND...
It’s almost hard to call this one a second, but I’m being picky! One of the snowflake ‘crystals’ has a little gritty glaze caught in it which, as it catches the light, casts a faint shadow and a touch of discolouration. It’s been classed as a second for that reason — though really, it’s just showing off a little less sparkle than the others. This is purely cosmetic and doesn’t affect its use in any way.
 
Reflecting the discolouration (check out the pictures) it's been discounted by 25%.
 
Caring for your pottery:
Marigold and Lettice pottery is made from white earthenware clay and designed to be used and enjoyed every day. We personally use our pieces in the oven, dishwasher, and microwave. However, to prolong the life of your pottery, handwashing is the gentler choice, as dishwashers can be tough on handmade items due to high-pressure jets and strong detergents and may overtime cause damage and speed up any grazing in the glaze. 
While we do microwave our own pieces, for longevity we suggest heating food in the oven where possible.

Our china looks and feels very (very) different to mass-produced pottery; it’s not fine or delicate, but wonderfully chunky and full of texture, you’ll see thumb prints, makers marks, glaze specks/drips and heaps of individuality. We call it perfectly imperfect pottery and firmly believe it’s all the better for it!
