A brand new butter dish shape for me – think of it as a mini dome or cloche, but for butter (or cheese, if you're feeling wild).

This one’s a one-off and very much a prototype, but I’m a little bit in love with it… so expect more to come!

Of course I was ALWAYS going to try one with a bakewell tart as a handle - because everything in life is better with bakewell on it!

This rectangular butter dome is all about quiet charm and everyday joy whether it’s toast for two or a full breakfast spread, this piece brings a little extra delight to the daily ritual.

**It's been discounted there is a tiny bit of bobbling in the glaze on the top, and down the side of the dome, and a slight split in the glaze on one corner too - it doesn't impact the use at all, and while it's cosmetic not structural, it has been reduced by 25% to reflect these slight issues (please check the photos.)**

Dimensions:
– Base: 16cm long, 13cm wide, 2.5cm tall
– Dome: 13.5cm long, 11cm wide, 7cm tall (12cm tall including the handle)

**Please note that while the butter dish and base are made for each other these are handmade and there is a slight bit of gapping between the dome and the base on the sides. We say it adds to the charm and unique style of our pottery, but we don't want you to be disappointed if you're expecting an airtight fit.**

Caring for your pottery:

Marigold and Lettice pottery is made from white earthenware clay and designed to be used and enjoyed every day. We personally use our pieces in the oven, dishwasher, and microwave. However, to prolong the life of your pottery, handwashing is the gentler choice, as dishwashers can be tough on handmade items due to high-pressure jets and strong detergents and may overtime cause damage and speed up any grazing in the glaze.

While we do microwave our own pieces, for longevity we suggest heating food in the oven where possible.

I M P O R T A N T    I N F O R M A T I O N

Our china looks and feels very (very) different to mass-produced pottery; it’s not fine or delicate, but wonderfully chunky and full of texture, you’ll see thumb prints, makers marks, glaze specks/drips and heaps of individuality. We call it perfectly imperfect pottery and firmly believe it’s all the better for it!
