A pottery ode to Elf on the Shelf (thank goodness Violet came along after that trend!) 🎅✨
 
This chunky dish not only is a really useful size and shape (flat/wide bottom base and shallow-ish yet raised sides) also features the cheekiest pair of elf-ish legs — red and white stripes and all — a playful piece guaranteed to bring smiles to the table.
 
This dish will as hardworking as it is fun - perfect to bring to the Christmas table overflowing with sprouts or roast potatoes, because it's not overly deep you could use it as a cake stand piled with mince pies, it could even be filled with crisps and dips! 
 
Measuring around 32cm long, 24cm wide, 4cm deep and 9.5cm tall including the legs) it’s full of character, completely functional, and ready to bring a touch of festive mischief to your table.
 
Caring for your pottery:
Marigold and Lettice pottery is made from white earthenware clay and designed to be used and enjoyed every day. We personally use our pieces in the oven, dishwasher, and microwave. However, to prolong the life of your pottery, handwashing is the gentler choice, as dishwashers can be tough on handmade items due to high-pressure jets and strong detergents and may overtime cause damage and speed up any grazing in the glaze.

Our china looks and feels very (very) different to mass-produced pottery; it’s not fine or delicate, but wonderfully chunky and full of texture, you’ll see thumb prints, makers marks, glaze specks/drips and heaps of individuality. We call it perfectly imperfect pottery and firmly believe it’s all the better for it!
