T I M I N G S
Getting your perfect piece to you is our priority but as each piece is made to order (we don't hold any pieces in stock), the process takes a MINIMUM OF A MONTH although this is just a guide and if it goes over please bear with us, if it goes under let's celebrate!

Inappropriate? Yes. Fun? Absolutely. Welcome to my most inappropriate design yet: handmade cigarettes on chunky china.
A playful nod to the well-loved dirty ashtray, these pieces definitely won't be everyone's cup of tea—but I absolutely love them. I can't wait to pile one high with crisps and dips, or carry a mountain of roast potatoes to the dinner table in one. Why, you ask? Why not I say?!
Available in three styles:
- Wavy dish (around 31cm long, 23cm wide and 4cm tall) - £60
- Ashtray-style dish (around 22cm round and 7cm tall) - £65
- Medium rectangular platter (around 30cm long, 25cm wide and 2cm tall) - £60
Every cigarette is made and attached by hand, so no two pieces are ever the same. The size, shape and placement will vary from piece to piece—that's all part of the charm. They're securely fixed to the pottery, so you can use your piece with confidence without worrying about them coming loose.
Bold, a little bit ridiculous, and guaranteed to start conversations (or end them).
Caring for your pottery:
Marigold and Lettice pottery is made from white earthenware clay and designed to be used and enjoyed every day. We personally use our pieces in the oven, dishwasher, and microwave. However, to prolong the life of your pottery, handwashing is the gentler choice, as dishwashers can be tough on handmade items due to high-pressure jets and strong detergents and may overtime cause damage and speed up any grazing in the glaze.
While we do microwave our own pieces, for longevity we suggest heating food in the oven where possible.
I M P O R T A N T I N F O R M A T I O N
Our china looks and feels very (very) different to mass-produced pottery; it’s not fine or delicate, but wonderfully chunky and full of texture, you’ll see thumb prints, makers marks, glaze specks/drips and heaps of individuality. We call it perfectly imperfect pottery and firmly believe it’s all the better for it!
Please note that because each piece is unique the design will be different from the one in the picture – similar but unique.
