Everything in life is better with a frill on it — and these platters go one step further with a double frill! I know, right? And these aren’t just any frills — we’re talking big, bold, chunky ones.
Frilly, yes — but seriously practical too. Perfect for showing off a cake, serving a Sunday roast, piling up a summer salad, or simply stealing the show on a shelf. Thanks to the way I make them, the second frill sits slightly raised, which means it even doubles up as a shallow roasting dish. (Multi-tasking? This platter’s got it covered.)
The placement of the frills will vary from piece to piece — that’s the joy of handmade — making each one completely unique to you.
Size-wise, you can choose between medium or large, in either an oval or rectangular shape.
The frills are built out from the edge of the platter, so the flat base is slightly smaller than the full width — the frills need their space, after all!

Caring for your pottery
Marigold and Lettice pottery is made from white earthenware clay and designed to be used and enjoyed every day. We personally use our pieces in the oven, dishwasher, and microwave. However, to prolong the life of your pottery, handwashing is the gentler choice, as dishwashers can be tough on handmade items due to high-pressure jets and strong detergents and may overtime cause damage and speed up any grazing in the glaze.
While we do microwave our own pieces, for longevity we suggest heating food in the oven where possible.

Getting your perfect piece to you is our priority but as each piece is made to order (we don't hold any pieces in stock), the process takes a MINIMUM OF FOUR WEEKS although this is just a guide and if it goes over please bear with us, if it goes under let's celebrate!

Our china looks and feels very (very) different to mass-produced pottery; it’s not fine or delicate, but wonderfully chunky and full of texture, you’ll see thumb prints, makers marks, glaze specks/drips and heaps of individuality. We call it perfectly imperfect pottery and firmly believe it’s all the better for it!
