Not sure why I didn’t make one sooner – but now, this garlic pot feels like a true member of the chunky china family!
Handmade (of course) means no two are ever the same. Available in classic all-white or in garlicky tones of purple and green, each piece is similar in size (around 15cm tall and just over 11cm wide) but completely unique. The coloured versions are hand-painted, adding even more character to their one-of-a-kind nature.
Each pot will be a two-piece design – base and lid made for each other – but remember, this is handmade pottery, so there’s no tight or airtight seal. Ventilation holes in both the base and the lid allow your garlic bulbs to breathe and stay fresh.

Caring for your pottery:
Marigold and Lettice pottery is made from white earthenware clay and designed to be used and enjoyed every day. We personally use our pieces in the oven, dishwasher, and microwave. However, to prolong the life of your pottery, handwashing is the gentler choice, as dishwashers can be tough on handmade items due to high-pressure jets and strong detergents and may overtime cause damage and speed up any grazing in the glaze.
While we do microwave our own pieces, for longevity we suggest heating food in the oven where possible.
I M P O R T A N T I N F O R M A T I O N
Our china looks and feels very (very) different to mass-produced pottery; it’s not fine or delicate, but wonderfully chunky and full of texture, you’ll see thumb prints, makers marks, glaze specks/drips and heaps of individuality. We call it perfectly imperfect pottery and firmly believe it’s all the better for it!
Please note that because each piece is unique the design will be different from the one in the picture – similar but unique.
