Getting your perfect piece to you is our priority but as each piece is made to order (we don't hold any pieces in stock), the process takes a MINIMUM OF A MONTH although this is just a guide and if it goes over please bear with us, if it goes under let's celebrate!

Who doesn't need/want a jar or sugar bowl with a lifesized jam tart as the handle! Of course it is chunky (would you expect anything less) but looks surprisingly delicate...  ideal as a sugar bowl, perfect for jewellery/cotton wool, just the ticket for storing sweet treats.
 
The jar -  and jam tart - are handmade so each will be slightly different in size and shape. Please note too that because they aren't mass-produced or transfer painted each tart is unique and the glaze effects will be different because of that. 
 
Makers note: While the base and lid are made for each other and the lid has a lip inside to stop it slipping around, they are handmade pieces, and the clay will pull up a bit more in some places that others meaning you should expect some gapping between the lid and the base. We say it adds to the charm and unique style of our pottery, but we don't want you to be disappointed if you're expecting a tight fit. 
 
 
Caring for your pottery:
Marigold and Lettice pottery is made from white earthenware clay and designed to be used and enjoyed every day. We personally use our pieces in the oven, dishwasher, and microwave. However, to prolong the life of your pottery, handwashing is the gentler choice, as dishwashers can be tough on handmade items due to high-pressure jets and strong detergents and may overtime cause damage and speed up any grazing in the glaze. 
While we do microwave our own pieces, for longevity we suggest heating food in the oven where possible. 
 
 
I M P O R T A N T    I N F O R M A T I O N
Our china looks and feels very (very) different to mass-produced pottery; it’s not fine or delicate, but wonderfully chunky and full of texture, you’ll see thumb prints, makers marks, glaze specks/drips and heaps of individuality. We call it perfectly imperfect pottery and firmly believe it’s all the better for it!
 
Please note that because each piece is unique the design will be different from the one in the picture – similar but unique.
