From covering cakes, scones, salads and even just protecting fruit from pesky flies in hot weather our domes have become an invaluable piece in our kitchen armoury.
 
This large round cloche, with full on decorations with flowers circling the base, also features blooms at the base of the handle, it’s a one of a kind in this style and design...  I don’t take pre-orders for my domes anymore so it’s even more exciting to include this one as already made and ready to ship.
 
Now, it might be robust and (very) weighty, with a slightly raised middle, but airtight it is not! Included in the price is a large round platter which is useful on its own, or with the cloche on top. The cloche is 28cm wide and stands 24cm tall including the handle (the height of the outside is 14cm, which goes up to 16cm at its raised centre). The platter itself is 32cm wide.
 
This one-off piece has been discounted by 20% because - around the daffodil flower - there is a fine line/cosmetic split where the thinner petals dried faster than the base of the dome. The entire piece is fused with glaze, so everything is fully secure - nothing is loose or coming away. The structure remains completely sound and can be used fully as intended.

Our china looks and feels very (very) different to mass-produced pottery; it’s not fine or delicate, but wonderfully chunky and full of texture, you’ll see thumb prints, makers marks, glaze specks/drips and heaps of individuality.
