Getting your perfect piece to you is our priority but as each piece is made to order (we don't hold any pieces in stock), the process takes a MINIMUM OF A MONTH although this is just a guide and if it goes over please bear with us, if it goes under let's celebrate!

Our swan 🦢range ticks all our boxes – white ✅ chunky ✅, unique ✅, splash of colour which only serves to make the white pop even more ✅✅✅
 
The  🦢 beaks are handpainted orange and black: expect each one to be slightly different as the glaze takes on its own character in the kiln - no transfer printed or block made for us.  We love that even more, but exact replicas they aren’t so please expect them to have their own characters (perfectly imperfect as always).
 
There are two sizes to choose from: standard is perfect for a good-size cake and the jumbo is for, well, much larger cakes!  Both are about the same height on a really fab pedestal!  The size of the swans stay the same regardless of the size cake stand you opt for - but the larger will obviously have more swimming around the base!

*It's worth noting that because each cake stand is made by hand (no moulds or templates for us) the shape/slope of the pedestal on each stand will be slightly different...
 
Caring for your pottery:
Marigold and Lettice pottery is made from white earthenware clay and designed to be used and enjoyed every day. We personally use our pieces in the oven, dishwasher, and microwave. However, to prolong the life of your pottery, handwashing is the gentler choice, as dishwashers can be tough on handmade items due to high-pressure jets and strong detergents and may overtime cause damage and speed up any grazing in the glaze. 
While we do microwave our own pieces, for longevity we suggest heating food in the oven where possible. 
 
I M P O R T A N T    I N F O R M A T I O N
Our china looks and feels very (very) different to mass-produced pottery; it’s not fine or delicate, but wonderfully chunky and full of texture, you’ll see thumb prints, makers marks, glaze specks/drips and heaps of individuality. We call it perfectly imperfect pottery and firmly believe it’s all the better for it!
